Yes, I agree with nomoreheroes, with some work on the vocals, this would be alot better.
but its still a good song.
BTW. you're in iraq right now? I thought you guys weren't allowed to do anything fun or anything like that when you're over there.

No, I'm back from Iraq now. Been back for a couple of months. I wrote this song and recorded while in Iraq. It depends on what base your at in iraq in regards to the "fun". Alot of the stuff you do there is really just to kill time. Some guys played video games, some guys read books. Me, I went to the gym and practiced on my guitar alot. So, it's not as bad as you may be thinking, and I mean not as bad as say OIF 1 or what afghanistan is now. It really depends on where your at.

this sounds kinda like a ukelele, which is something I've never heard in the AP.

It's actually an acoustic guitar, I just put a capo on the 5th fret, giving it that ukelele sound. I was going for that cause this is, in a way, a tribute to IZ.

Cool song! It reminds me of Franz Ferdinand, although I'm not sure why.....
anyway, After hearing alot, and I mean ALOT of bad music on the audio portal, its nice to find an actual GOOD song here. I can't think of any problems with it. the percussion was imaginative, and the lyrics were sung clearly and were creative.
by the way, are you using an acoustic guitar or an electric.
and did you do this by yourself, or with your band?

Wow, as someone who plays acoustic, that was pretty good. I think the strumming pattern went wrong once or twice. (but I could be wrong) but the biggest problem is that it's very hard to hear your voice. Try to sing a bit louder, but not too loud as to ruin the impact your song is supposed to have.

*sigh* another good song ruined by horrible lyrics and a bad singer.
the guitar was perfect, and for the first few seconds, I was looking forward to listening to this song.
but it was all messed up.

wow, I have the only reveiw so far......since I'm here. The guitar made it sound like it was from the sixties, and the singer, probly was from that time. It seems more like psykedelic rock (however you spell it)
anyway, it was nothing spectacular.
